Gifted Children's Program

The goal of Northwest Florida Mensa's Children's Program (GCP) is to create and foster activities for gifted children under 18. If you have children who would like to meet and socialize with more of their peers, or if you would like to meet other parents who share your concerns, consider attending one of our events.

New!Youth Room at ValenTime RG!

Thinking about coming to ValenTime this year, but don't know what to do with your kids? Your problem is solved! New this year at the ValenTime RG 2008 in Destin, we have planned an exciting "kids track" just for school-age kids! Now, when they register for the RG, kids can participate in supervised activities on Saturday in their own special Youth Room. Activities include:

Kids can register for the RG at the special rate of $25 for the whole weekend, or $15 for Saturday only. Parents, you can relax and enjoy Saturday knowing that your kids are supervised and having fun, too! Send in your registration form today!

We need your input! If you are the "responsible adult" for any child who may be participating in our GCP, please take a few minutes to complete a survey to help us improve our GCP!

Children do not need to be members of Mensa in order to participate in GCP events. The GCP events are open to any child who is a member, or a relative of a member--child, grandchild, niece, nephew, etc--or any other child who is a guest of a member. However, gifted children may already qualify for membership based on a score of the 98th percentile or higher on a prior test done by the school or a private psychologist. For a list of acceptable tests and scores, as well as information on the application procedure, visit the American Mensa website. For more information on how to apply using previous testing, click here.  Children 14 and older can qualify by taking the Mensa Admissions Test. To find out about our local Mensa admission testing sessions, please contact our Test Proctor.
